This romantic vintage red velvet dress was custom-made in the late 1930s (possibly early 1940s), and is entirely one-of-a-kind. The maxi-length crushed red velvet is so rich. It was reworked and modernized around the 1970s, with a zipper added in the back, making it easier to wear. Because of the empire waist, this can also be an incredible vintage maternity dress. Closes in the back with a zipper.

The Antique Victorian Heart Locket pictured is also available. 

Measurements: This will best fit a size X-Small, Small and possibly Medium; please refer to below measurements. It is smaller through the shoulders and chest, with more flexibility through the waist and hips.

Empire waist/underbust: about 29", gathering offers some forgiveness there
Hips are open up to 45"
Length: 53"


Good vintage condition overall; there were some repairs made to the fabric at the bottom skirt towards hem. As a mom, I like that the books are also educational. They touch on emotions, feelings, how those emotions/behaviors are received and how you can alter change your emotions. It also gives them great life examples of good, bad and cool behaviors which is great with navigating a toddler through all the different emotions that they go through. She also understands that you can be happy, sad, angry. I like that the Cool Beans touches on kindness and acceptance of others. Kids need kindness! This is my favorite book in this series so far. The complexity in this story makes it a great book to teach many different skills to students. It also resonates with older elementary students. I used this in my 4th grade class to discuss what makes someone cool. It lead to great conversation and one of the messages from the book being that a true cool bean is kind to friends. We also discussed the importance of being kind because you never know the impact a kind act that may appear small can have on the recipient. The last lesson we learned from this book was about the lasting impact of friendships, and that even though you may drift apart because of different interests you can still maintain a connection and be there for each other. This book is awesome. I love the illustrations and the wonderful story.
