Silvery Satin pothos

These beautiful vining plants are a great choice for beginners. They have a matte like texture and feel a bit velvety to touch, hence the common name Satin.

Scindapsus pictus is commonly sold in the market as a Satin pothos or Silver philodendron, but it's neither a pothos or a philodendron. They are all cousins and belong to the same genus though.

The one with large heart-shaped leaves is 'Exotica' and the smaller one is 'Argyraeus', although to avoid confusion since most places sell them as Satin pothos we have also decided to retain that name.

Care and Maintenance

This plant is very tolerant and abuse-resistant. It can handle low-medium light but the variegation shows best in bright light. Keep it away from direct sun and water once the top soil is dry.

What's included

- Plant
Plant care and repotting instruction cards

6" hand-painted terracotta pot & saucer (if ordered)

Dehydrated soil wafer is included with pot

This plant is not safe for pets.

Note: We get both these varieties in cycle from our growers, so depending on availability you could receive the small or big leaf plant. (They are both amazing!)

Look nice.
These were really nice for canned oysters, way better than what we can get in the stores in our area. Perfect for milk based oyster soup! the ratio is one can of cream of mushroom, one can full of milk, one can of oysters. Add butter, salt, pepper, and bring to a boil.

Does the job
Tastes like boiled oysters, so it has that nailed down. I use it in my shrimp ramen noodles sometimes, sometimes I use it to flavor garnish dishes. Best price I could find, but apparently it is a specialty product.

Unparalleled source of heme iron.
This stuff is medicine if your are anemic or have low serum iron. Elemental iron from veggies or pills must be prepared by your body to carry oxygen in hemoglobin. Not so with iron from animals and oysters are unparalleled in iron content. Even if you don't find them delicious you will find them efficacious.

Do not recommend
Edible, though barely. Definitely the worst tasting oysters I've tried of all the brands. Hopefully I don't get food poisoning as has been reported by other reviewers.
