The word deremensis refers to the Demera Forest in Tanzania. The mother species, Deremensis has almost disappeared from cultivation, replaced by Warneckii, Janet Craig and other variants. It is also recognized by its lance shaped leaves of striped green and creamy white. It's a slow growing plant and can take up 10 years to reach maximum height of about 5

The Striped Dracaena is from the deremensis group and thought to have originated in Madagascar. The word ‘deremensis’ refers to the Demera Forest in Tanzania. The mother species, Deremensis has almost disappeared from cultivation, replaced by Warneckii, Janet Craig and other variants. It is also recognized by its lance-shaped leaves of striped green and creamy white. 

It's a slow-growing plant and can take up 10 years to reach maximum height of about 5 feet and 24 inches in width. Favorable to tropical temperatures.

I was expecting an unflavored fiber powder. However, expect a sour/tart taste. This means you can't add it to tea or coffee. I don't think it is appropriate to say that it is "unflavored" as I've had psyllium husk from other vendors that are truly "unflavored" (i.e. no citric acid). Dextrin (another fiber source) is also unflavored. But this Metamucil is tart (like sucking a lime) and can only be added to tart juices like orange juice or lemonade.
