When filled with around 1.25 litres of water, each globe can provide watering for approximately 2 to 4 weeks indoors, around 2 to 3 weeks outdoors in semi shade, and roughly 2 weeks outdoors in full sun, depending on conditions, plant size and weather.
The drip rate adjusts naturally depending on surrounding temperature. In warmer conditions, water is released more quickly, while in cooler weather it drips more slowly.
This works because the air inside the flask helps regulate the flow of water as temperatures change. For correct operation, always fill the flask to around three quarters full and leave one quarter empty.
Water is delivered below the soil surface through the spike, helping target the root area rather than soaking the top of the soil. This supports more even moisture levels and helps avoid soil drying out too quickly at the surface or becoming overly wet.
Each spike includes an adjustable drip tube that can be set according to plant location and growing conditions. This makes the system suitable for direct sunlight, shaded areas, indoor spaces and outdoor pots exposed to changing weather.
Fill the flask to three quarters full with water, attach the dripper, turn it upside down and give it a gentle squeeze to remove air locks. Then place it into the spike already positioned in the soil. Once in place, the system supplies water gradually with minimal day to day effort.
