Full and lush, E3 Easy Wave® Sweet Taffy Mix petunias have an efficient, tight, domed shape; a controlled, mounding, spreading habit; and manageable vigor. The plants make great edging or ground cover in beds and borders. Planted alongside perennials and vegetables, petunias repel asparagus beetles, leafhoppers, a range of aphids, tomato worms, and many other pests.
Extremely easy to grow, petunias prefer full sun to light shade and average, medium moist, well-draining soil. They tolerate poor soils, heat, and cold and are deer resistant and virtually disease and pest free. Although petunias are low maintenance, pinching off the tops of established plants results in a bushier habit and a heavier bloom, and deadheading regularly encourages and prolongs flowering. Cutting back plants that have declined in summer heat promotes a later bloom as temperatures cool.
Start seeds indoors 10 to 12 weeks before the last frost and transplant after all threat of frost has passed.
