Summary

Elegant, dangling blooms and saturated color make ‘Dollar Princess’ a longtime favorite for shaded patios and hanging baskets.

This classic variety produces steady displays of pendant flowers featuring deep purple sepals and vivid pink inner petals. The blooms hang gracefully above soft green foliage, creating movement and visual interest throughout the growing season.

‘Dollar Princess’ performs best in bright shade and moderate temperatures, offering dependable color where many sun-loving annuals struggle. In mild climates it may behave as a tender perennial, while in colder regions it is commonly grown as a seasonal container plant.

Care

Fuchsia ‘Dollar Princess’ Care

Provide bright, indirect light or partial shade. Morning sun with afternoon protection is ideal, particularly in warmer climates. Excessive heat or prolonged direct sun may reduce flowering.

Grow in rich, well-drained soil and maintain consistent moisture. Fuchsias prefer evenly moist conditions and should not be allowed to dry out completely, especially when grown in containers.

During active growth, apply a balanced slow release fertilizer in spring to support steady flowering.

Pinching young growth encourages fuller plants. Remove spent blooms as needed to maintain appearance and encourage continued flowering.

Container Growing: This variety is particularly well suited to hanging baskets and patio containers with quality potting mix and reliable drainage. Container-grown plants require more frequent watering than in-ground plantings. Plants hardy in the ground may require winter protection when grown in containers in colder zones.

Better Than Most, But Still No Match for My Super Chewer
This is a decent chew. It’s made of a softer rubber material and has little to no odor, which I appreciate. It’s been about a week, and while it’s still technically in one piece, it’s starting to show some cracks and tiny puncture holes. Now, keep in mind, my 100-lb pit mix Scooby Doo is a full on chew and destroy hound. If it can be chewed, he’ll find a way to shred it to bits. This toy held up longer than a lot of others but still didn’t make the “indestructible” cut in our house. He likes it, but it’s not his top pick, probably why it’s still alive. Overall, it’s a good toy for the price. Probably not for extreme power chewers like Scoob, but it’ll hold up fine for most dogs and give you a little peace and quiet for a while. Do give it a try, Scooby Doo is a chewer in a class of his own, the fact that this has held up past a one 15 minute session is amazing in itself.

Multifunctional dog toy, fetch, chew, dental health
This toy feels like soft rubber, unlike the super hard plastic Size wise, it would be a good toy to toss and play fetch with. My Aussiedoodle took to it right away. It has numerous nubs that are great for dental health. I use it, as well as other toys with nubs, to offer to my pups with a bit of smeared on it, to help with their dental health. 🤗 Thank you so much for taking the time to read this review, have a FANTASTIC day!!😊 5★

Our dog is a 50lb Pit mix. This toy lasted about a week before he took a hole knuckle off. Happy he did not swallow it.

Perfect Chew Toy, Not Too Soft Or Hard
I've been looking for new chew toys for my 2.5 year old German Shepherd that are durable enough to withstand her chewing, yet aren't so tough or hard that she dislikes it and won't chew or play with it at all. I'm so glad I got this large bone chew toy for her because the rubber is just the right amount of toughness without being too hard. She also loves the bacon smell. Another good thing about this is that there are 80 round nubs that stick out of the bone and are flexible to help clean the teeth. You can even put dog toothpaste on them to really help clean their teeth. This is perfect for my dog because she doesn't like toothbrushes or finger wipes. She also loves to play catch with this toy and since it's made of rubber I can throw it & it just bounces around. This is her new favorite toy and she loves it so much that when my Lab tries to play with her or take it away, she does a little warning growl telling her to stay away. She has only ever done that before with her favorite stuffed animal. All of their other toys they usually share, but I'm going to have to buy another one for my Lab. There is a warniìng that says "Not for aggressive dogs." I definitely recommend this chew toy for medium and large dogs that are big chewers, but not agressive. This toy is a good value for the money and will entice your dog with the bacon scent, keep them occupied chewing or playing, & also help with their dental hygiene.
