The Giant Red Aeonium is drought-tolerant but cannot handle extreme heat or drought. It curls its leaves during the summer. If exposed to full sun, the rosette shrivels up into a ball. Water aeonium sparingly during summer and more frequently in winter, ensuring soil dryness to prevent root rot in prolonged moist conditions. With its striking red foliage and low maintenance needs, you can grow these beauties outdoors in USDA 9-11.
