Philodendron Brandi, known as the Silver Leaf Philodendron, is one of the most versatile and visually distinctive Philodendrons available. Its heart-shaped leaves are a soft, mottled combination of silver and green that shifts and shimmers with the light, giving it an almost iridescent quality that no fully green Philodendron can replicate. It grows as a climber with support and as a cascading trailer without, making it equally at home in a hanging basket, on a shelf, or climbing a moss pole.

Good for beginners? Yes. Philodendron Brandi has all the forgiving, easy-care qualities of the Heartleaf Philodendron family but with a considerably more distinctive and collectible look.

Light needs: Bright indirect light produces the most vivid silver mottling and the fastest growth. It tolerates medium light well. Avoid direct sun which can bleach the delicate silver tones.

Care at a glance: Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Feed monthly in spring and summer. Provide a moss pole to encourage climbing or let it trail freely from a shelf or hanging basket.

This pillow — after dialing in the right amount of shredded foam — has greatly helped my sore neck. Initially, I had to remove some foam. Then I gradually added foam until it reached optimum comfort and support. It is also CPAP-friendly — especially when I position my head near the pillow's edge. (I am a left-side sleeper.) I like the travel size because I use a bulky hugging pillow to ease stress on my shoulder and elbow. That makes my side of the bed feel cramped if using a larger head pillow. A smaller pillow is easy to flip end-to-end in the middle of the night.
