It naturally grows on the floor of a rainforest, so give it medium to bright, indirect light; a spot a few feet away from a sunny window is perfect. Too much direct sun will scorch those delicate fronds. When you water, feel the soil first. Only water when the top inch or two is completely dry. In our dry climate, this plant appreciates a little humidity, so misting it occasionally or placing it near a pebble tray helps prevent those annoying brown leaf tips. Feed it lightly with a palm-specific food once a month in Spring and Summer to encourage those lovely, arching fronds.
